Digitalisation and automation of production processes

CrossChem invests in the digitisation and automation of processes. The aim of the project is to purchase new packaging production equipment to digitise and automate the company’s existing processes. The total cost of the project is EUR 574 222,50, of which EUR 200 000 capital allowance. The project will run until 1 March 2026.

Promoting research and internationalisation in the Latvian Life Sciences Development Network

On 22 April 2024 the Association of Latvian Chemical and Pharmaceutical Entrepreneurs (hereinafter – the Association) and the Central Finance and Contracting Agency signed an Agreement on implementation of the European Union Recovery Fund project “Promotion of research and internationalisation of the Latvian Life Sciences Industry Development Network”, Project No. No 5.1.1.2.i.0/3/24/A/CFLA/003 (hereinafter – the Project).

The project is implemented through a network. The network consists of more than 30 companies, including CrossChem Ltd, at least one research organisation and an association. The project is implemented in the following RIS3 areas:
– Biomedicine, Medical Technologies, Biopharmaceuticals and Biotechnology;
– Smart Materials, Technologies and Engineering Systems;
– Information and Communication Technologies.

The activities planned under the project are aimed at raising the prestige of the sector and creating an appropriate incentive system, establishing and operating a network, promoting international cooperation and increasing exports.

The project will directly contribute to the network members’ access to international markets, strengthening the international competitiveness of the sector, and promote the sector among young people. The project activities are aimed at internationalising the network members and increasing private R&D investment.

Through Norway Grants and EEA Grants, Norway helps to reduce social and economic disparities and strengthen bilateral relations with beneficiary countries in Central and Southern Europe and the Baltics. Norway cooperates closely with the EU on the basis of the Agreement on the European Economic Area (EEA). Norway has provided €3.3 billion in aid between 1994 and 2014.

Norway Grants are funded exclusively by Norway and are available in countries that joined the EU after 2003 . Between 2014 and 2021, Norwegian grant support will amount to €1.25 billion. Priorities for this period:

Construction of the first AdBlue® testing laboratory in Latvia completed in Olaine

CrossChem’s new product AdBlue® EVO implementation project, which is being developed in cooperation with Norway Grants, has reached the finish line – an AdBlue® laboratory has been established at the main production site in Olaine, which will allow a leading AdBlue® manufacturer in the Baltics to carry out analyses right here in Latvia. More than EUR 250 thousand have been invested in the laboratory.
