CrossChem attracts Norwegian grant for project worth almost half a million euros

CrossChem has received more than EUR 223 thousand by Norway Grants in the Business and Innovation program for the project “Introduction of new products into production at SIA CrossChem“. The total amount of the project is almost half a million EUR 495,859. The funds will be used for the introduction of manufacturing of the new product “AdBlue® EVO”

“AdBlue® EVO” is the next generation of AdBlue® fluid which, thanks to a formula specially developed by CrossChem, will be able to work under both high load and low-temperature conditions without losing its properties, maintaining its high quality and additionally protecting the SCR system mechanisms. The project foresees the introduction of the new product by September 2023.

Ričards Andersons, the Chairman of the Management Board of CrossChem, says: “The Norwegian financial instrument will allow CrossChem to establish a separate laboratory for the production of “AdBlue® EVO”, as well as to purchase the latest generation equipment for the production processes. The “AdBlue® EVO” project is another step towards the “future quality” that we as a company strive for – we look forward to bringing the new product to our customers.”

CrossChem has participated in the open call for proposals “Green Innovation and Information and Communication Technologies in Manufacturing”, which has led to attracting EUR 223,137 in co-funding for the project. The program is implemented by the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) with the aim of promoting cooperation and strengthening relations between Latvia and Norway.

“We are delighted that the Norwegian grant will support the modernization of another manufacturing facility in Latvia, introducing a new product in the field of green innovation that will help reduce nitrogen oxide in car exhaust gases. It is highly appreciated that this project will be implemented in partnership with the Norwegian company Produkt og Produksjonsutvikling AS, which will share its experience and jointly seek the best solutions for the production and testing of the new product in Latvia,” says Jānis Ločmelis, Head of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism Department of LIAA.
