Prime Minister of the Republic of Latvia Andris Kulbergs took the wheel of a rally car on 8 August during a private event hosted by SIA “CrossChem” for its clients and business partners. At CrossChem’s AdBlue® production facility in Olaine, 30 company representatives were given an exclusive opportunity to experience high-performance driving in an environment that is normally dedicated to the company’s production and logistics operations.

CrossChem’s annual client events provide an opportunity to strengthen cooperation in an informal setting. While in previous years the company’s clients and partners enjoyed a motorsport experience at the Biķernieki track together with rally driver Matīss Mežaks, this year the event was organised on a significantly larger scale and, for the first time, moved to the grounds of the CrossChem terminal and production facility.

“It is important for us not only to provide high-quality products and services, but also to create memorable experiences. Events like this are our way of building lasting relationships and expressing our appreciation for the trust and cooperation of our clients and partners by offering something that cannot be experienced in everyday life,” says Ričards Andersons, Chairman of the Management Board of SIA “CrossChem”.

For one day, the CrossChem production facility was transformed into a specially designed motorsport track. Matīss Mežaks and Kārlis Dzenītis took the wheel of vehicles provided by the Baltic Motorsport Promotion rally team, while Andris Kulbergs performed demonstration runs in his own car, giving guests the opportunity to experience what was a unique rally event in the Baltics and possibly even in Europe from the passenger seat.
The event was organised in cooperation with the Latvian Automobile Federation, which ensured compliance with track and guest safety requirements and provided professional supervision of the motorsport activities throughout the event.

Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs is a passionate motorsport enthusiast who, despite his demanding schedule, found time to visit CrossChem, drive the course, take several guests for rides, and meet and speak directly with Latvian business representatives.
The event continued the CrossChem Friends’ Day tradition, bringing together clients, business partners and friends of the company. Pauls Timrots took on the role of commentator, while the restaurant “Andalūzijas Suns” took care of the guests’ hospitality, providing everything needed for a relaxed break between the adrenaline-filled rides.
