CrossChem Estonian plant receives VDA accreditation

The newly opened plant of CrossChem in Estonia has successfully passed the VDA (Verband der Automobilindustrie) audit, allowing CrossChem to become the only Baltic VDA accredited AdBlue® manufacturer with two production plants in the Baltic States.

VDA, The German Association of the Automotive Industry, has registered the AdBlue® trademark with the aim of providing consumers with a consistently high-quality product that meets international standards. The association’s accreditation is a unique process and technical audit that requires the manufacturer to guarantee the quality of AdBlue® at all stages of its production and delivery, eliminating the possibility of a poor-quality product reaching the market.

Ričards Andersons, Chairman of the Management Board of CrossChem says:
“We have been working closely with the VDA since 2007, and this collaboration has provided substantial knowledge and experience that has enabled CrossChem to successfully navigate the complex accreditation pathway again and again. AdBlue® production is a complex endeavour – quality must be ensured both at the time of raw material purchase and during the daily production process, as well as the competencies of the people involved must be determined. In addition, a detailed product recall policy with steps for exchange and reimbursement of costs to the customer, even for example from Bangladesh, should be developed. CrossChem. as an accredited manufacturer of AdBlue®, does all this to eliminate even the smallest risks for its customers. We make sure that the customer is not left “behind the door”, which is often the case when buying a slightly cheaper product from a manufacturer that has not passed accreditation.”
